A familiar confusion I keep finding myself in. The landscapes are different but the internal experience repeats, so I have to ask myself, why do I insist on being here?

An in-between moment, the movement in her hair caught my attention. I played around with adding some wind in the room.

It’s like an unseen presence that she only feels. It would be hard for the viewer to really understand, standing in the next room looking in.

I couldn’t decide which one I liked more, the final version or the tangent I went down. Moving between the two made it feel sort of like a lightning storm.

Stirring

A favorite image I made a while ago for someone else, but still have as my screensaver.

Words I wrote then that feel relevant to me today: Maybe this is a place she can steady herself. Amid the stirring.
Her body posture is receptive - not in recoil, less protective. Calming colors. She is starting to trust herself, or even just looking inward instead of all around, as uncomfortable as that is. A wish to find more peace in that.

Words from yin yoga this morning: So, just like in our lives, finding that appropriate amount of friction that offers us the opportunity to grow and to change without hurting ourselves in a way that we recoil from those types of efforts. So we find our edge, and we meet ourselves where we are - physically and mentally. We are getting the signals from our body, but we are watching them. Watching the discomfort and seeing what it has to offer you today.
