Grief.
It hit me on the drive to session tonight. Hard.
I phoned a friend to share the words out loud and to help me switch mental gears so I didn’t arrive leading with sadness.
It’s not only sadness. It’s “just love with no place to go.”
But that’s not even the whole story. It’s also that “those who have known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentlness, and a deep loving concern.”
He has her light, her warmth, always with him.
He brought her image with him tonight.
And I got to create a photo with the image I created for her.
With love.
