Kim & Steve – Baby on Board

My little brother is having a baby!! This beautiful Friday night, we walked around St. Norbert College campus and chased down the sun. I am so happy to be able to capture some moments of this pregnancy before the baby is due!

Finding myself in a familiar place. A familiar pace. Back and forth, on repeat. I’m not sure how long I can stay here. But I do know that I got myself in here, and will eventually get myself out.

Don’t lose hope.
It’s the best I could think of for a title, these words set to repeat.
.
The day after the presidential election, in the aisle of a department store, I ran into a former client. Never spoken friends, though maybe mutually felt, we immediately recogonized the heavy in one another and embraced. Commiserating at length about our shared fears. I remember she said, “look for the helpers.” (which also means ‘let’s be the helpers’).
In that moment, I felt hopeful.
In this moment, we witness a helper shot dead in the street.
How does this not bring you to your knees?
